Growing Your Career as a Behavior Technician at Centria Autism

By: Centria Autism

At Centria Autism, we believe that providing life-changing care starts with investing in the people who deliver it. We don’t just offer jobs; we provide a structured Behavior Technician Career Track designed to put your professional growth directly in your hands.

Whether you are just starting out or looking to master advanced clinical skills, our path is built on skill development, clear progression, and performance-driven pay increases.

The Path to Mastery: Your Career Journey

Our leveled system allows you to “level up” as you meet specific clinical competency goals. Here is how you can progress through the first year and beyond:

  • BT (Behavior Technician): Your journey begins with comprehensive and ongoing training on Centria’s proprietary Do Wonders framework.
  • BT II: After a minimum of 6 months and an average score of 3.6 or higher on the Staff Integrity Assessments (SIAs), you can elevate to BT II. This phase focuses on developing advanced clinical problem-solving skills and comes with a $0.50/hr base pay increase.
  • BT III: With another 6 months of experience and an average score of 3.6 or higher on the SIA II, you reach BT III. This milestone includes a $0.75/hr base pay increase and opens up eligibility for bi-annual merit raises.

Measuring Success and Increasing Earnings

We use the Staff Integrity Assessment (SIA) as our primary tool to measure clinical alignment and performance. For new technicians, this formal measurement begins on the first day of the month following your first billable shift.

As you excel, your compensation grows with you:

  • When does my review start? Your performance clock officially starts on the first day of the month after you complete your first billable shift.
  • Annual Growth: Earn up to a 5% merit increase annually after reaching the BT III level.
  • Advancement: We want you to succeed. If you don’t hit the advancement milestones in the standard six-month window, the window rolls forward every month. The moment your SIA scores hit the target, your advancement is achieved.
